Installation
In February 1996, we signed an agreement with the Palma de Mallorca Airport in Spain for the supply of 20 passenger boarding bridges. Delivery of the units was completed in three stages over the course of 1997.
The solution provided to the Palma Airport consisted of 20 passenger boarding bridges for aircraft access of the Apron Drive 2C-type (with two increasing bodies) and one preboarding connection of stainless steel. The interior was finished in Alucobond and grooved rubber flooring and is equipped with two AC units (air conditioning for passenger boarding bridges). Cleaning and painting of the tarmac was handled on-site at the airport. An electrical mains line was installed from the Transformer Station and power cabinets (CBTH) to the PLB, 400Hz, PAC and VDGS and equipped with UPS protection. The passenger boarding bridges were also equipped with a SIGMA connection system for improved communications with the airport and Ethernet for better control of the passenger boarding bridge and auxiliary services. All traction and lifting mechanisms are electromechanically operated.
