Venice Cruise Terminal to be upgraded with a modern Passenger Boarding Bridge provided by ADELTE

Barcelona, 5th September 2007 – ADELTE a world leading designer and constructor of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges for the Cruise and Ferry industries has recently been awarded a contract by Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. to design, construct and install a moveable and modern passenger boarding bridge of the HYDRA range to service the cruise terminal buildings on the Banchina Tagliamento quay in the Port of Venice, Italy.

Venice, strategically located on the Mediterranean Sea, is one of the most important cruise destinations for all top cruise lines as it offers their guests easy access to the centre of the most ancient and famous canal city and all of its popular attractions. Due to the increasing number of cruise ships visiting the port, Venezia Terminal Passegeri S.p.A initiated in 2005 a process of expansion and modernization of their terminal facilities.

New Caribbean Cruise Terminal Sans Souci chooses ADELTE

Barcelona, 25th July 2007 – ADELTE, a world leading designer and manufacturer of passenger boarding bridges for cruise and ferry terminals has recently been awarded a contract to design, manufacture and install an innovative passenger boarding bridge for the new Sans Souci cruise terminal in the Port of Santo Domingo, scheduled to be inaugurated in December 2007.

The Port of Santo Domingo is currently undergoing an ambitious reconstruction and expansion programme with the concession of Sans Soucí Ports S.A. One of the main projects is the construction of a new cruise terminal, adjacent to the Colonial section of the first city in the New World. The new terminal building will have three floors. The second floor will house immigration and business offices while the third level will provide ample passageway around the building and provide access to the cruise ships. This level features the most modern security equipment and boarding systems.

New York city contracts ADELTE for servicing its Passenger Boarding Bridges at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

Barcelona, 23th April 2007 – The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and ADELTE Port Services Inc. have signed a contract for the maintenance and operations of the two Passenger Boarding Bridges installed at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in New York.

This Terminal, which was inaugurated on the 15th of April 2006, is equipped with two HYDRA passenger boarding bridges, designed and constructed by ADELTE. The contract includes preventive maintenance services, inspection services, supplies and operational assistance services.

Harwich International Port selects ADELTE to help modernize its Passenger Boarding instalations

Barcelona, 27th March 2007 – ADELTE, a world leading designer and manufacturer of passenger boarding bridges for the Cruise and Ferry industries, has released details of its latest passenger boarding bridge contract for Harwich International Port in the United Kingdom.

The THALASSA Passenger Boarding Bridge, ideal for ferry terminals, will be an integral part of the re-development of Berth 2 at Harwich, which is being carried out to modernise installations and improve passenger convenience and safety. ADELTE’s will install a passenger boarding bridge and an additional covered walkway, to connect with the existing fixed elevated walkway leading to the terminal building.
