ADELTE to deliver new generation ‘’Creuers Barcelona’’ Passenger Boarding Bridges

Barcelona, 18th November 2008 – ADELTE has recently been awarded a contract by cruise operator Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. to design, manufacture and deliver in the Summer of 2009 two new generation Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) of the ‘’CREUERS BARCELONA’’ class to operate at the A and B cruise terminals on the Adossado Quay in the port of Barcelona, Spain.

Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. operates five cruise terminals at the port of Barcelona. Cruise Terminal A, which came into operation in April 2008 is similar to Cruise Terminal B (inaugurated in 2005 and also operated by Creuers) and both terminals together have the capacity to handle turnaround operations of current and future mega cruise ships with up to 6.000 passengers.

ADELTE to deliver world’s largest Passenger Boarding Bridge at Harwich Cruise Terminal

Barcelona, 4th June 2008 – ADELTE has recently been awarded a contract by Harwich International Port to design, manufacture and deliver a moveable and modern Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) of the SEDNA range. This PBB will be delivered by March 2009 at the cruise terminal building in the Port of Harwich, United Kingdom.

Harwich International Port (part of Hutchison Ports UK Ltd.) awarded ADELTE the contract to design and deliver the PBB installation after publicly advertising for bids earlier this year. The purpose of the PBB is to provide passenger access between the cruise terminal building and the continuously increasing number of cruise vessels calling on Harwich in order to allow embarkation and disembarkation in a secure and safe manner, unaffected by weather conditions or tidal ranges.

Barcelona, 4th June 2008 – ADELTE, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated passenger boarding bridges for cruise and ferry terminals has recently been awarded a contract by cruise operator Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. to design, manufacture and deliver by March 2009 a moveable and modern passenger boarding bridge (PBB) of the HYDRA range to service the new cruise terminal building on the Adossat quay in the port of Barcelona, Spain.

Venezia Terminal Passeggeri inaugurates Passenger Boarding Bridge and awards ADELTE a new contract

Barcelona, Spain, April 30th, 2008 – ADELTE, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated passenger boarding bridges for cruise and ferry terminals has recently been awarded a contract by Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. to design, manufacture and deliver by March 2009 a moveable and modern passenger boarding bridge (PBB) of the HYDRA range to service the new cruise terminal building, currently in construction, on the Banchina Isonzo quay, in the Port of Venice, Italy.

Only two weeks ago Venezia Terminal Passeggeri successfully inaugurated the HYDRA PBB on the Tagliamento quay during the maiden cruise call of the MSC Poesia. The design, construction and installation of this PBB was awarded to ADELTE last September. In October 2007, ADELTE also received a contract to modify and technically upgrade the passenger boarding structure which has been serving the cruise terminal on the Tagliamento quay for more than 12 years.

Malaga’s new Cruise Terminal gets a Passenger Boarding Bridge

Barcelona 7th February 2008 – ADELTE, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated boarding bridges for cruise and ferry terminals has recently signed a contract with Malaga Cruceros S.A. to deliver this summer a passenger boarding bridge for the cruise terminal ‘Estacion Maritima de Levante’ in the Port of Malaga. The terminal was inaugurated on the 23rd of December 2007.

The company Malaga Cruceros S.A., which manages the new cruise terminal, is a joint venture of the Port of Malaga and the company Creuers of the Port of Barcelona.

Costa cruises selects ADELTE to deliver a second Passenger Boarding Bridge for its Cruise Terminal in Barcelona

Barcelona, 19th December 2007 – ADELTE, a world leading designer and constructor of state-of-the-art passenger boarding bridges for cruise and ferry terminals has received a repeat order by Costa Cruises to deliver another passenger boarding bridge of the HYDRA range for the Palacruceros Terminal in the port of Barcelona, Spain.

The Palacruceros Terminal was inaugurated in April this year and is located on the Adosado pier, in an area of approximately 5500 square metres. The terminal can accommodate cruise ships of any tonnage, length and capacity, including the largest liners currently in service. In this first year of operation, the cruise terminal has recorded a total of 150 calls and over 400.000 cruise passengers. For 2008, the cruise terminal expects a significant increase; 205 calls and over 600,000 cruise passengers.
