Marseille entrusts ADELTE with a new Ferry Passenger Boarding Bridge

Barcelona, 12 June 2012 – ADELTE, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has been contracted by the Grand Port Maritime in Marseille to design, manufacture, and install a PEGASUS-type PBB for berth No. 7 at La Joliette quay.

ADELTE will enhance Cruise guests experience in Hong Kong with five state-of-the-art Passenger Boarding Bridges

Barcelona, 12th of March 2012 – ADELTE, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, will design, manufacture and install five PBBs which will operate at the new Kai Tak Terminal designed by the well-known architect Norman Foster. Along with the promise of spectacular Norman Foster architecture, ADELTE is designing some of the largest and most modern PBBs ever supplied.

Indeed, each one of the Passenger Boarding Bridges will allow docking from the biggest to the smallest cruise ships and each will have five tunnels with a maximum slope of 1:12 with intermediate landings which increase comfort and ease the way to disabled passengers. Moreover, in order to achieve a green design, these PBBs will also be the first ones equipped with external lightening supplied by their own solar panels.

ADELTE was choosen to handle Sydney’s booming Cruise industry

Sydney Harbor is Australia’s first cruise ship destination and the only port in Australia with two dedicated cruise passenger terminals: the Overseas Passenger Terminal located at Circular Quay, used by larger cruise ships, and Wharf 5 Cruise Passenger Terminal at Barangaroo.

ADELTE will install two new Passenger Boarding Bridges for Cruises in Port Canaveral

Barcelona, 6th of March 2012 – ADELTE Ports & Maritime, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has been awarded with a contract of the Canaveral Port Authority to install two new HYDRA model PBBs.

The Canaveral Port Authority is building a new cruise terminal which will be equipped with two of ADELTE’s Passenger Boarding Bridges. The main challenge in this project is the short period of time in which the PBBs need to be supplied. The PBBs have to be on service by this July 2012.

Successful first docking in Singapore for ADELTE´s new Passenger Boarding Bridges

Barcelona, 4th of June 2012 – Last week, the new Marina Bay Cruise Center received its first cruise liner, Royal Caribbean International’s VOYAGER OF THE SEAS as a kick-start for the cruising season in the region.

The new Singapore Cruise Terminal is equipped with 3 state-of-the-art SEDNA range Passenger Boarding Bridges designed by ADELTE which performed a perfect docking of VOYEAGER OF THE SEAS and enabled its 3.840 guests to disembark in total comfort and security to visit the city.

ADELTE has disembarked three state-of-the-art Passenger Boarding Bridges to Singapore

Barcelona, 21st February 2012 – ADELTE Ports & Maritime, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has successfully completed the assembly, testing and shipping of three boarding bridges for the International Cruise Terminal in Singapore. The first phase of this complex operation has been carried out during the last months in ADELTE’s manufacturing plant in Monzón (Huesca) and in the Port of Barcelona.

In a second stage the three Passenger Boarding Bridges have been embarked on a special heavy lifter ship in a specific embarkation sequence, in order to be disembarked right on their final position in the International Cruise Terminal in Singapore, being operative without any additional movement.
