TEAM officially becomes ADELTE

Barcelona, 12 December 2013 – 20 years after its creation, TEAM, the world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of Passenger Boarding Bridges for cruise and ferry terminals, is changing its name to ADELTE.

The ports and maritime division of ADELTE Group, more internationally known under the brand TEAM, will continue to develop its operations in 2014 using the brand ADELTE.

ADELTE is both the brand and the name of the Group that is now organised into three divisions: ADELTE Ports & Maritime (solutions for cruise and ferry terminals), ADELTE Airport Technologies (solutions for airports), and ADELTE Ingeniería del Transporte (solutions for special civilian and military transport).

ADELTE ships Three Mega Passenger Boarding Bridges to Hong Kong

Barcelona, 22th April 2013 – ADELTE, leader in the design, manufacture and installation of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has successfully completed the assembly, implementation and loading of its first three mega boarding bridges, which are already on their way to the new Kai Tak terminal in Hong Kong.

These five-tunnel HYDRA Passenger Boarding Bridges, each weighing 170 tonnes, are the most modern and spectacular boarding bridges ever manufactured. They have been loaded, fully assembled, on board a heavy lifter 168m in length, making them the largest ever units to be transported in this way.

ADELTE contracted to deliver two Passenger Boarding Bridges at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal

Barcelona, 23rd of November 2012 – ADELTE Ports & Maritime has been awarded by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and Turner Construction Corporation a contract to design, manufacture, assemble, transport and install two HYDRA Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York. The Passenger Boarding Bridges will provide seamless access for cruise guests from cruise terminal building to NCL’s Breakaway and vice versa. The NCL Breakaway will start turnaround operations in New York as of May 2013.

ADELTE designs two double-cabin Passenger Boarding Bridges for Cape May and Lewes Ferry Terminals

Barcelona, 26th of July 2012 – ADELTE, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, will design, manufacture and install two PBBs to replace the existing Passenger Boarding Bridges at Cape May and Lewes. With the aim of significantly improving their installations, Delaware River and Bay Authority will modify the two main berths in both terminals. JPC has been contracted to carry out the overall work on the berths where ADELTE’s Passenger Boarding Bridges will be operating.

ADELTE’s specific challenge in this project is to ensure that a ship can be docked in both sides of the berths. The uniqueness of this double docking fits perfectly with ADELTE’s philosophy about designing tailor-made solutions for every port.
