ADELTE has disembarked three state-of-the-art Passenger Boarding Bridges to Singapore

Barcelona, 21st February 2012 – ADELTE Ports & Maritime, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has successfully completed the assembly, testing and shipping of three boarding bridges for the International Cruise Terminal in Singapore. The first phase of this complex operation has been carried out during the last months in ADELTE’s manufacturing plant in Monzón (Huesca) and in the Port of Barcelona.

In a second stage the three Passenger Boarding Bridges have been embarked on a special heavy lifter ship in a specific embarkation sequence, in order to be disembarked right on their final position in the International Cruise Terminal in Singapore, being operative without any additional movement.

ADELTE Group and EFS reinforce their activity with the entry of BARING

Barcelona, 21st September 2011 – On September 8th, ADELTE Group and EFS – Equipo Facility Services signed an agreement with Baring Private Equity Partners to increase the capital of ADELTE and EFS and to help re-launch its airport passenger boarding bridges business, in which the group was already present until 2006.

This agreement will also further enhance the current activities of seaport passenger boarding bridges, special transport trailers, maintenance services for electromechanical equipment, ground handling services and integrated management of passenger baggage carts.

Singapore’s new International Cruise Terminal to have Passenger Boarding Bridges provided by ADELTE

Barcelona, 30th November 2010 – ADELTE has recently been contracted by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to design, manufacture and deliver three Passenger Boarding Bridges for the International Cruise Terminal in Singapore, currently in construction. The contract is a result of a competitive tender process for which ADELTE partnered up with leading services specialist Singapore Technologies Synthesis Pte Ltd. (ST Synthesis). The contract calls for the delivery of three PBBs in November 2011 and the option for delivery of a fourth PBB in 2012.

Singapore’s International Cruise Terminal is designed by Bermello, Ajamil and Partners and RSP Architects Planners and Engineers and the construction of the terminal is slated for completion by the end of 2011. The design of this two-berth facility with its distinctive rooftop depicts a modern interpretation of low rolling waves and will leave a lasting impression on cruise guests and other visitors to Singapore. With its deep waters, a large turning basin and lack of height restrictions, the facility will be able to berth ships of up to 220,000 GRT and measuring up to 360 meters in length with a draft of up to 11.5 meters.

Maryland Port Administration contracts ADELTE to deliver an Innovative Passenger Boarding Bridge

Barcelona, 2nd September 2010 – ADELTE, has recently been awarded a contract by Maryland Port Administration to design and manufacture a Passenger Boarding Bridge for the South Locust Point Cruise Terminal in the Port of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. ADELTE was selected as the preferred provider of a safe, comfortable and innovative PBB system after Maryland Port Administration conducted a competitive RFP process. ADELTE is to deliver the Passenger Boarding Bridge in early 2011.

ADELTE to deliver third ‘’Creuers Barcelona’’ Passenger Boarding Bridge

Barcelona 4th August 2010 – ADELTE has recently been awarded a contract by cruise operator Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. to design, manufacture and deliver in early 2011 a third Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) of the ‘’CREUERS BARCELONA’’ class to operate at the cruise terminals on the Adossado Quay in the port of Barcelona, Spain.

Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. operates cruise terminals A, B and C at the port of Barcelona. Cruise Terminal A, which came into operation in April 2008 is similar to Cruise Terminal B (inaugurated in 2005 and also operated by Creuers) and both terminals together have the capacity to handle turnaround operations of current and future mega cruise ships with up to 6.000 passengers. Terminal C is currently being upgraded. ADELTE has installed two units of the ’CREUERS BARCELONA’’ PBBs at Terminal A. The first unit was inaugurated with the arrival of the Carnival Dream in September 2009 and the second unit was placed into operation earlier this year.
